LMS Tools: Enhance Your Online Learning Experience
LMS Tools is a Chrome extension developed by itjustbong to improve the usability of the Smart Campus system at Soongsil University. However, it can also be used by other universities that utilize a similar LMS platform.
This extension offers several useful features to enhance the online learning experience. Firstly, it allows you to open lectures in a convenient pop-up window, eliminating the need to navigate to a separate page. Additionally, it enables you to preview PDF files without having to visit the professor's dedicated PDF board. Similarly, you can download files without the hassle of accessing the specific file board.
Another notable feature is the ability to download videos for offline viewing. Moreover, LMS Tools automatically refreshes the page after a three-second delay if the content fails to load, ensuring a seamless user experience. However, it should be noted that this auto-refresh feature only works when opening lectures in the pop-up window.
Although LMS Tools offers valuable functionality, there are a couple of areas that require improvement. Firstly, regardless of the content type, all posts display three buttons: Lecture Pop-up, PDF Preview, and File Download. However, only the Lecture Pop-up and File Download buttons function correctly on lecture-related boards, while the PDF Preview button only works on PDF-related boards. It is advisable to close any error messages that may appear when clicking on these buttons.
